Dear Parents and Guardians,
The Heath Middle School staff believe it is vitally important that parents are informed about important testing
dates well in advance of when they occur. Please take the time to review the content below. I highly encourage you to add these dates on your calendar so you can help your child prepare for their assessments when they occur.
STAR Testing Schedule: These are district assessments used to measure progress in math and reading, as
compared to students nationally. They help us identify whether students are making appropriate progress, as
well as target specific instructional needs.

Winter | January 3-31 |
Spring | April 1-26 |
OST Testing Schedule: These are the state assessments. They help us to measure student achievement as
compared to other students in the state, as well as our own previous performance.

| April 25th, 26th | Math 6, 7, 8 and Algebra |
| April 30th, May 1st | Science 8 |
On testing days, students will still report to school for a 7:55 start. We will send out more communication
